It looks super awesome. Maybe find some gold fabric and make a sort of "fabric-necklace/choker" out of it with a hook closure? I made a purple dress similiar to this except it was longer (heavier, eugh), and I had a problem with the neck as well.

Gorgeous, gorgeous dress.  Absolutely most perfect design of dress for the pattern, it is just great.  Probably my fav thing I have seen on here yet!

Wow, this is a gorgeous dress! It definately flatters you well and the fabric is quite awesome.

As for the neck part, I would recommend using something that is soft and will wear soft over time like ribbon or furry yarn.
