Well, I don't know what to do with the paper towel rolls. But I used to always cut up cool things from magazines and make a college.

I've done one with people's eyes. It turned out really cool.

Other ideas: shoes, hands, colors, whatever. Just get creative.

i use paper towel rolls to put cute little gifts for my bf and my gfs sumtimes, since you can wrap it up pretty simply and i tie the extra paper on the ends with ribbon to look like a little piece of candy

or you could just use them to keep wires from behind the tv organized or craft supplies like pom poms or popsicle sitcks, if you put a bottom on the roll, or even Qtips or cotton balls for the bathroom (assuming you prob cut them in half, so you could actually get the stuff out of there easier, lol)

Go to the "Featured Projects" on the first page of Craftster and click on the top left project: it's magazine bowls!  (or put "magazine bowls" in the Search box).If you make any, do let me know how it went!

close the bottom of paper towel roll and make a lid and store penicls, knitting needles, antyhing small inside. you can put tons of them in drawer. if you have a lot of seed beads in little round boxex, like this: http://www.impexcreativecrafts.co.uk/test/jpgs/Page-08.jpg, you could sort them by color, and put lid on both sides of the tube. or you can make caleidoscope or that thing used for invoking rain... that thing that has rice in it, it could be a cute gift:) if you need tutorial for any of these things, just say:)

Candy doesn't have to have a point. That's why it's candy.
Will knit for PJ pants:) PM me:)
Anyone interested in swapping Steve Jackson's "Munchkin" custom cards?
