does anyone know any good food knitting, such as knitting up a sandwich or cake? I've already looked up knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/food  and I was wondering if there were any other web site out there like that.

http://www.craftbits.com/viewCategory.do?categoryID=NED  this is a great list. (scroll to knitting novelty)

there are also these patterns for purchase from a WAHM: http://www.wildcrafts.net/instock/index.php?cPath=23&osCsid=0ca79dd34f31f5114ed8901d37944638 (work at home mom, for those unfamiliar with that abbreviation)

Some free patterns from the book Knitorama. I think one may incorporate crochet. The book itself isn't bad if you are up to buying something. I can't wait to make the apple protector from it.

I just finished knitting an fruit orange character. I just used the "knitted ball" pattern from http://www.knitting-crochet.com/babbal.html
and then knitted extra little things to attach to it. I used a spool knitter to create arms and legs.

Jean Greenhowes book 'jiffy knits' has all sorts of yummy food in it. From plates of meals, to cream cakes, donuts,  peas in a pod and baked beans in a tin!!  Grin

In the most recent issue of Giant Robot magazine, there is an article about a girl who crochets the most adorable food-related scarves!  She made bacon & eggs, cupcakes, and sushi just to name a few. Unfortunately, there weren't any instructions (and also, I can't crochet - I only knit!)

I just found out that she is also a SUICIDE GIRL-WTF?!?
