Aunt Suzi-  Thanks for the yarn review!  I think I'm going to give it a shot.

I'm going to knit starsky too, but I have a problem. I can't decide what color of knitpicks sierra I want to use! I'm leaning towards mist, but cinnamon looks nice too.

Both colours are beautiful, personaly i prefer mist, cinnamon is alittle too earthy for me. I surpose it really depends on what colours you want to be able to wear it with though.

OOOH...I am definitely joining once I finish up my current project.  I loved this sweater instantly.  I've been dreaming of a sweater just like this all winter long.

jax3303, I'm actually using the 'cinnamon' color of Knit Picks merino style for my current project.  It's less brown than I had expected it to be, more like a sienna color, but quite pretty.  You can see a good picture of it on my blog if you'd like to get a better idea of what the 'cinnamon' color really looks like.  It's hard to tell from the little picture on Knit Picks' site.

I just ordered my yarn for Starsky! I asked on a few different boards for opinions on colors, and it was split pretty evenly between cinnamon and mist. so Finally I just did an eenie-meenie-miney-mo thing and Mist won. I can't wait for it to get here so I can get started.

I just ordered my yarn, too!  Just a basic cream-colored, classic wool thing.  Very cheap!  Hope it works well:

Have another cardigan to finish in the meantime.

Your sweater is looking great, scarletkittycat!

I'm gonna join you guys on this Kal, as this really is a gawjus sweater.  I gotta say it has a lot of "new" techniques in there that I've never done before, so this may be a long time coming for me.  However, I ordered my yarn from Elann a few minutes ago and I look forward to getting started.

I have about half of the back done. I teach second grade and I have a two year old... it is quite possible that this sweater will take me the rest of my life  Grin
