I bought yarn and this pattern months ago, but just have not gotten around to knitting myself a OSW... After seeing all the beautiful work on this thread the OSW has moved up a few notches in the queue!

I know this topic hasn't been up for a long time, but I'd like to do a OSW. However, I was wondering if the pattern was "concrete"- like specific knit for this long, not knit until it fits (like in the minisweater). I love doing "knit until it fits", but I'd do OSW as gifts, and I can't randomly have recipients trying on their present.

The pattern does include sizes, but you'll have to be able to guess or figure out the width of your friend's shoulder width to know which size to make

I knit a modified OSW recently, so I'll share it here.

It's hard for me to get a shot of the whole thing with my point and shoot, because it stretches out pretty far when it's laid out, but I'm really happy with it.  It's a holiday gift for a red haired friend who said she wanted "sleeves - but with a back part", and I think it succeeds in being sleeves and in being in colors that will look fabulous with red hair.
