Free software, perfectly safe.  http://www.iktsoft.net/kgchart-en/

Save the picture you want to use to your computer, open the program, go to file, import, choose the picture... it will let you choose your aida size, pattern size, and number of colors.

Good Afternoon, everyone!

I checked the forum and came up with nothing.

I am searching around for a Biohazard sign and "The cake is a lie" (with cake image) cross stitch patterns...for free. (Long shot) does anyone know of a resource? I'm an amateur at making patterns..

Thanks in advance!

There are a few programs floating around that can convert pictures into cross stitch patterns.  I've never used them before, but they should be fine if there aren't a ton of subtle color changes:

Hope that helps! Smiley

I just answered a similar question here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=383815.msg4547258#msg4547258

There are a bunch of free programs on the internet that will convert a picture into a cross stitch pattern.  I've never used them before, but they might be a good option if you're looking to save money.  I've paid people on etsy with software to make really big patterns for me, only because I want to make sure it doesn't come out too dark/light/off.  Let me know if you want to know the name of the seller I used.  I think I only paid a few dollars and the lady was really nice Smiley

(i had already been looking for one online as i have a picture i want to do....)

i tried all three;

the first can only do smaller pictures

and the second charges for over 1001 stitches and i could not easily navigate the site...i am not very tech savvy

third was super  easy. pdf pattern in my hands within moments!

so yes, thanks a lot for the share!

Kcraft, I don't know anything about True Blood, but have you tried using any of the websites I linked to above, maybe with a lightened/increased contrast version of a picture?

If you don't have any photo editing software, I've had an etsy seller make patterns for me.  I think I paid ~$10 for it?  PM me if you want her information.  I just wanted to make sure the pattern was good before spending months on a piece Smiley

shiny objectitis, glad to help!  Post pictures when you finish it!
