I am working on a wedding piece for a co-worker, pretty much just their names and "sittin' in a tree" underneath. But I am having trouble fining a lowercase cross stitch font that "goes" with the font called cross stitch delicate.
What would work best with it: a scripty kind or I don't even know what else to call them here without going by their font names (eg., cross stitch regular) or would something made up on the graph be better suited?
I can't decide

Really odd request now-

Have any of you folks stumbled over any cross stitch patterns of realistic looking fish?  Particularly something fairly detailed of a silver salmon, halibut, or ling cod?  It doesn't have to be a freebie either.

I should really just download and play with one of the photo converter programs...

Thanks!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

Yes, convert your own pic with a pattern maker. This one is great.

wow that works a lot better than I could have imagined!

I also LOVE that USA map.  If you ever find that pattern let me know.  I tried searching for it but had no luck.

Reducing the number of colors in a photo is easy to do in Photoshop or Gimp. Hrmm... if there isn't a tutorial on here already, maybe I should make one!

I think there's a tutorial for perler beads photo beading on here somewhere, by... miranda? Username was something like that. The idea is the same, reduce a photo to limited-colors pixel image. I think it was pretty good but I never tried it myself. Smiley

let's see.  there are 27 user names with "miranda" in them, and only 8 have ever even posted once.  so that narrows it down a little if it was a miranda.  Wink  but I found it.  her user name does have miranda in it.  it was miranda_ail and the post can be found here (there aren't many pictures, but the link to the tut is there): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=23024.msg188596#msg188596
