Thank you for another reason - besides Value Village - to go to Bayer's Lake.

(My wallet is not speaking to you - or to me - at the moment.)

for somereason i didnt thing they would be putting it on that site of the road.. more like on the site of VV. What do they all sell in that store?? How is it priced?

Michael's is quite inexpensive and they usually give out a 30%-40% coupon off on a single non-sale item of your choice each week. They sell everything.

I was wondering whether the Michaels coupons were just for the US Michaels stores? Are they usually printed in flyers in the newspapers?

We've had ours in Moncton now for awhile.  I find them very expensive, especially when you look at the US prices in comparison (I don't know where they're getting their exchange rates!).  We get weekly flyers in the mail with the coupons in them, usually one for 40% off one regular priced item, and one for however much off of custom framing.  These coupons are good to use here in Canada.

They have a wide selection, although if you're shopping savvy, you can find most things they carry elsewhere for less.  They do however have some bargain bins full of cool stuff for $1.50 - rubber stamps, ribbons, etc.

I haven't managed to get to the new Michael's yet.

From the sound of things (both places opening on the same day), I'd guess that the one talked about in another forum is the one you're talking about, ponyup.

It certainly got dissed by the writer - I think she was looking for yarn.

to see what she said.
Then someone else wrote in to say "give them some time to see what works in the local areas". So I guess we'll just have to wait some more.

2 kids, 2 cats, 2 birds...why didn't I get 2 men?

I found it a little confusing but I still browsed for 2 hours.  Tongue

The only thing that ticked me off a little was that I had a few magnetic purse closures from the purse section for 4.99 each and then I went to find little round magnets and they had 2 packs of purse closures there for $3.49 for 2!!  The purse section of course was promoting a type of decorate your own bag.  I just thought it was a little shady but since it's the only place that sells them I'll still go back.

Don't blame that sort of thing on Michaels being shady. Different manufacturers, different purposes and different products mean different prices.

Another example: Go to ANY grocery store.
Buying in bulk is cheaper, right?

Quite often, buying in bulk is more expensive than the name brand or store brand product.

I'm sure it wasn't an intentional deception although the purse supply section does seem very overpriced to me.  I have a fab online source for hardware now anyway so I don't need to pay that much anymore. Smiley
