Does anyone have an electric spinner?  I've been looking at the Babe's Electric Bulky spinner...but haven't been able to find any reviews on it.  The bobbins hold 2 lbs of fiber and I think it would make plying a dream.

Yeah I think plying on something like that would be great. I know his original electric was designed with a sewing machine motor so it had the same kind of foot control...but if it has the same foot control as my Brother sewing machine...it's not very reliable.  Roll Eyes
I have seen yarn spun on electic spinners and it looks the same to me, but I've never actually used a Babe spinner.

i think heidi of mypapercrane had one of those at first and spoke highly of it.  (now she has a regular wheel I think b/c it died).  It might be a good idea to get one...I have no idea how much they are.  but there is something so nice about a quiet old wooden wheel, I have to say!  though I agree, I HATE plying and I'd buy one, if I had the money, just for that!
