You know what sucks?  I don't think I'm even going to be able to use this one.  As my stitching grows (it's so pretty btw) I don't think I'm going to be able to cram the edge into this one.  I'm going to have to get a BIGGER one.  Yuck.  I'm hitting the goodwill today so who knows?!  wish me luck!

Goodwill = good idea. Hope you find something. The GWs in my area are usually nothing but corporate logo golf shirts of defunct dotcom startups.

Didn't find one daggone thing.  Not even any ugly purses I could steal hardware off of.  And now I feel liike I must bathe......... eeewww,, one drawback at rummageing at the GW.  Here's today's progress tho

I made one of the "long" sections between twists too short but I don't think anyone will notice once I fold it in half.

Snap closures:
Often you can find nice quality ones on older/uglier thrift store purses.  Just a thought.

So here it is.  The best friend bag (MY version) from knitty.  I decided to try and use the enormously expensive clasp I bought and I think it looks cute!  Even if it WAS a pain in the arse to sew all that fabric and knitting into it.

This is the yarn I used.  I wish you could actually see how sparkly it really is!

Here's the finished product! I LOVE IT!

NOT happy with the inside.  Had to cover it with ribbon and it looks tacky but when I sewed in (CRAMMED in all the fabric into the smallish clasp it looked quite messy.  I tried some real pretty trim but it made it too thick to close.

Here's a pic of the edge this clasp had on it and you can see why it was a pain.

Oh I'm a sucker for fuzzy sparkly little things. That is beautiful. Good job.
