I started sewing little bags last year.  I made this one out of a sweater I had bought for myself awhile ago...I washed it and it shrunk a little too much. I really need to take better care of my clothes...but it made a really cute zip bag.



I'm going to try to find some more sweaters to recycle at thrift stores.

That is SO cute! I want! I have a similar sweater.. It's getting too small anyways, maybe I'll attempy that. But I am horrid with trying to put zippers in:P

So cute! My boyfriend accidentally shrunk my favorite argyle wool sweater. Of course, I kept it (because I'm crazy) but this would be a great project for it! Great idea Smiley

Thanks all!

I did line it with some olive green cottony type fabric.  I also used fusible interfacing on the lining to give it a little stiffness.

I learned how to make this type of bag from a lined zipper pouch tutorial here on crafster.  It's pretty easy.  Once I got used to making a basic rectangle one I just started experimenting with different shapes.
