so i'm writing a novel and finally have a room in my house that i can make a writing room. i have big plans for this room and intend to make it the perfect space to write. what decor/items/paintings/colours/themes/etc. would you suggest for the ultimate room of one's own.

Paint it your favorite color. 

Obviously you need a desk with a good comfortable chair.

Maybe a nice overstuffed chair for you to read in or your visitors to sit in.

Pictures of your favorite authors.

Nice smells: incense, candles, essential oils. 

A stereo.

Anything that inspires you. 

Just a few ideas....

It is the center panel of a triptych called the Stoclet Frieze by Gustav Klimt.  It's commonly called "Tree of Life."
