can anyone tell me what koolaid is? like, i know it's a drink (right?)... but why does eminem say on that song "i just drank a fifth of koolaid - dare me to drive?"

and on a related topic, for anyone living near preston, there's a funky new(ish) shop selling all sorts of imported american candy, drinks and breakfast cereals! you can actually buy apple jacks and lucky charms and reeces pieces and hershey bars... Grin

im not an english crafter, but when i saw this thread i just had to post. my family is canadian, but we live in the US. and we LOVE smarties. but you cannot buy them ANYWHERE here. we dont even have a shop that sells english and canadian goods. we have almost 10 'oriental' and 'middle east' stores, but none from english speaking countries! this is making me sad. i must go eat some m&ms and pretend theyre smarties. and they dont have pretty colors either.

rock on

Yeah koolaid just seems so universal lol.  I'd be willing to mail some out  Cheesy I have dyed my hair with koolaid - but I find it comes out easy and never do it if there is a chance of rain.....

Eva - I know all about the Smartie thing!  My friend came over from the States and thought Smarties were weird because in the States the thing they called Smarties were like those "rockets candy" you get at Halloween.  If I could manage to get them through the Post I would send you some!! Smarties rule! (I love M&M's but they just aren't Smarties)

You can also buy Kool-Aid here:

http://www.cybercandy.co.uk

They have a shop in London and Brighton.

I've been there and they don't have a massive selection but it is a great excuse to buy peanut butter M&M's  Wink
