The waiting month is soooooooo long. But if you get the itch and can't take it any more, try being a swap angel. It doesn't shorten the waiting period,  but at least you get the thrill of crafting for someone and seeing your goodies posted. And it can't hurt to build up some swappy karma!

When someone gets flaked on in a swap, the organizer posts a call for a swap angel on this board:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=203.0

I angeled before my month was up, and I've angeled since then too. I've never been flaked on, so I think building that swappy karma works like a charm!

thanks. I shall see if there are any swap angels of no skill and little money ;P.

I used to think I had skill....then I saw the wonders that have been created on this site. I'm no longer so naive.*sigh*

Ooh, it's all making sense now! Please correct me if I'm wrong: the organizer decides who is paired with whom, based on what people can make and what they want. And it's a PAIRING. So, the person who makes something for me is the same person for whom I make something. It's a direct trade between two crafters, not the crazy web I first envisioned, where I make what Jezebelle wants and Jezebelle makes what Bellzora wants and Belzora makes what Octopus wants and eventually down the road Octopus's friend's cousin makes something for me. But no, it's not so complicated and convoluted -- just a simple partnership. I make something for one person, and that same person makes something for me. What a nice, easy way to share. Although I'm sure it's not easy for the organizer, so many thanks in advance, Chelsa. Do I have it right?
