Crafty Carnage - Vegas style *on hold*

Here's the deal:
This is a Las Vegas themed swap. We will meet in Las Vegas on April 28th (Friday) to exchange goodies!

So far:

1. You craft your partner one large Las Vegas themed goody.
2. Your craft yourself a Craftster themed Tee-shirt to wear for the exchange.
3. You make your partner a button/pin based on their avatar/screen name.
4. The exchange of goodies occurs in Las Vegas.
5. We all eat too many 3 lb burritos washed down with "knock you nekkid margaritas" or cosmos.
6. Bring a bag of crafty supplies for a craft corner death match competition
7. The date we meet is April 28th. You can arrive/depart any time you like.
8. If you would like to share a room, PM me and I'll put you on the list below.
9. If you would like to ride-share, or find a co-pilot, PM me and I'll put you on the list, then if you find someone you want to ride with,  just PM them directly.
10. We will all try to stay at the Four Queens Hotel

Organizer meets:
A) 4 conditions for swapping: YES
Who is allowed participate in a swap?

The swap organizer will check your Profile to see that you meet all four of these conditions:

•1• You need to have been a Craftster member for at least 1 month to participate in a swap.

•2• You need to have posted at least 15 times on Craftster to participate in a swap.

•3• If you have never swapped on Craftster before, you can only sign up for ONE swap to start out with. Then when you complete that swap and get Positive Feedback, you can sign up for as many others as you want. (But don't sign up for more than you can handle!)

•4• If you've neglected to fulfill your part in a past swap, you're not allowed to join any more until you fulfill those obligations. (This information is recorded in your Profile.)

If you sign up and find that you are unable to participate, you must let me know as soon as possible. You will not receive negative feedback for pulling out if you let me know, as this is an unusual swap, and things happen.

It's a fun idea, but I doubt I'd be able to afford to get there [unless it happened during my already planned trip]. I think that'll be your major logistical challenge.

yep, you would have to be able to afford the trip, that's a biggie.
You'd probably also have to be an adult, as what happens in Vegas rarely stays in Vegas....

That is true, besides, the carnage might be more interesting with a yard o' margarita in hand. Depending on how soon you wanted to do this, you might try to catch an off-time [as in, not spring break for colleges, new year's eve, etc.] Also, TheBoy and I discovered that hotels [at least in March when we'll be there] were often $50 a night on weekdays and triple that for the weekend. Also, you might look into staying off-strip, as rooms on the strip are likely to be a little pricier. We ended up with a room at the Plaza for the aforementioned $50 a night. Which means we're going to be right at the end of the Fremont Experience.

I love old Vegas! I'd much rather stay on the old strip than the new. Too much walking on the new, I might spill my yard o' margarita! And if you want to see the new strip you can take one of those trollies just about any where, like the 99 cent shrimp cocktail joint. HA!

I'm more than willing [obviously] to share what I know from planning my trip, plus TheBoy lived there for several summers so I've got a wealth of Vegas-y knowledge in my house. He did manage the yard o' margarita on one of his more recent trips, as well as the better part of a 3 pound burrito [the boys are threatening to try this again this trip!] and he ended up not really being able to walk from the fullness and the alcohol.

We will need to know the exact location of this 3-lb burrito establishment!  That sounds like the perfect companion to a yard o' margarita.    I wonder if they have yard o' cosmopolitan....... .yum!

I will investigate and find a yard o' cosmopolitan if one is to be had. And the place with the burritos also had the camel game, which was, I think, a nickel slot machine. I'll ask and find out.

How about for part of the swap requirements:

You must make yourself a Tee-shirt announcing that you love Craftster? or Crackster? That way we can pick you out of a crowd.
