If we can get taloola to change her vote, then that would be the perfect weekend.
Come on Rhinestone Chicken, can you stop in Vegas on your way to Mexico?

acckkk!  i have finals right after that...and then a weekend off...and then i leave for mexicana baby!  so i really dont get a break!!!  go ahead and plan it for that weekend and i will ultimatly try to see if it could somehow work...like magically being the smartest person in my class and not having to study for pathophysiology, pharmacology and med/surg nursing exams!

if it doesnt work out for me, we can try to meet again in the summer!

We'll get this thing figured out! It won't be a party without the RhinestoneChicken! (ok, it'll be a great party, but we'll all be sad if you aren't there!)  Grin

I left the Visio file at home so I wont' be able to update the picture until tonight. Tongue

as for putting it on the first page. if you right click and select properties you will see the URL to the picture. then you can just use that to do the image tags in your post. i am pretty sure the url is http://sewpixie.tinfoildreams.com/images/carnage.gif

Does anyone know if it's ok to bring scissors on an airplane yet?

So far as I know, they're okay as long as they're blunt tipped. No sharp points.

I JUST looked this up before a recent trip so I knew where to find it......

Here is a link to the TSA's list of prohibited items:
http://www.tsa.gov/interweb/assetlibrary/Permitted_Prohibited_Facts.doc

Cliff Notes Version:
Pick Axes and Meat Cleavers - No!
Scissors with blades under four (4) inches in length - YES!

I copied this from the TSA web site:
TSA Changes Prohibited Items List to Allow Ostomy Scissors Aboard Aircraft

U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY
Transportation Security Administration

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  - August 30, 2005
TSA Press Office: (571) 227-2829

WASHINGTON, D.C. TSA is modifying the interpretive rule to exempt ostomy scissors from the prohibited items list.  Ostomy scissors with pointed tips with an overall length of four inches or less are permitted when they are accompanied by an ostomate supply kit containing related supplies, such as collection pouches, wafers, positioning plates, tubing, or adhesives.

There are an estimated 750,000 ostomates in the United States.  While specific data on the number of ostomates who use air transportation is not available, TSA has heard from individuals with ostomies who say they avoid air travel in part because they cannot carry these particular scissors.

Allowing this limited exception to TSAs prohibition on metal pointed scissors removes a barrier to ostomates traveling by air without negatively impacting aviation security.

Yay! I did it! I got the graph onto the first post of this thread. SewPixie's directions were perfect, THANKS!

Remember: I'm totally open to suggestions on this swap, so if you've got a good idea, post it here please!!! I'm also updating the first post with new suggestions, so be sure to take a peek now and then. Cheesy

Thanks to PinkyK for the TSA info!

Just a heads-up,
April 16th is Easter, so flights that weekend will be higher than on other weekends.

That's just if you're going to carry them on the plane.  You can put whatever scissors you want in your checked luggage, since you can't access them while you're in flight.
