I just stumbled across this and OMG it's fantastic!!  I am considering it as a possible Christmas gift for my youngest brother (if I start now I could be done in time...)  Smiley

Okay, I know this is an older post but I've been going on and on about it all year long Smiley  I crochet better than I knit (it's a painful truth).  Could the chart still work for crochet, you think?   Huh  Even if it were knit, do you just count each little grid/box as a stitch?  I still sooo badly wanna make one of these  Grin Grin Grin  I still absolutely LOVE it!

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!

Did you just duplicate stitch the A and B on or did you do Fair Isle for it?
Could we see a pic of the back of it pretty pretty please?
I might just make this my first color project Smiley

I'm sorry I took so long to reply!  I haven't been keeping up with my craftster lately!

To answer your question...I think it could definitely work for crochet!  Each square is one stitch, so you would just use the appropriate color and carry the other colors along.  I'd love to see it in crochet!

jeez.  how long did this take?

It took me about 3 months, working off and on.  The size 17 needles really made it go quickly...it was just those rows of alternating grey and black that made me want to cry sometimes...  Wink

Ask and ye shall receive!  It is all done Fair Isle, and it is AWFUL looking on the back.  My first real colorwork.  Does the job, though.

DUDE!  I'm an internet celebrity!  I really should check flickr more often, AND this site.

Gracias AGAIN for all the love you guys have for this project...and hey, the guy I knitted this for MARRIED me, so clearly no afghan curse!  Grin

This is really awesome. I know its 'unlucky' to knit a significant other something but I think I'm totally gonna try to make this for my boyfriend.
