part of what I love about craftster and this swap in particular is seeing what y'all will challenge me to do. the last two sock patterns (these and the lolitas) I'm not sure I ever would have thought to knit, myself!

Wow! Do those socks stay up without garters? Knitty says to wear garters and that's what's prevented me from knitting them..

I received my leafy bracelets from Jane Doe a couple of days ago! She sent them weeks and weeks ago but the international mailing situation took forever. Here's a not-great picture (the light in my apartment is NOT cooperating lately)

The tall socks stay up okay without garters, but they would probably entail a lot less pulling up with the garters.

Any check out the zoo panel!  It makes a pillow with little pockets for animals.  Too cute!!

Speaking of garters, I will probably need a pair for my socks. Has anyone made an effective pair? I'm sure it would entail elastic and lace, but beyond that I'm not too sure how they work.

omg, garters are so sexy, plus they don't hold in the heat and cause all sorts of nastiness in the crotchal region like pantyhose do.  who invented pantyhose anyway?  they're sooooo ugly! 
i'm biased, i always always always hated wearing pantyhose as a kid and now i have a fabulous garter belt with stockings that i love to wear.

I second the apology for taking so long to post pictures. Laughing Lark was an angel for me, and not only that, but she made me TONS of stuff, and she made it in, oh, three days? I couldn't believe the package!
