Ok - There's this art show organized by the art directors at my office. You'll guess where I work if you recognize the D's. ^_^

I'm looking for some commentary on the actual piece - anyone?

mixed media:

Copper
silver leaf
acetate
found objects

Thanks for looking!

The red parts are heavy duty acetate covered with clear red acetate.

I work for disney.com. I, personally, love working there - but I don't have a creative job. I'm a manager.

And yes, it seems like everyone works for Disney or Warner Brothers here in LA. The Sony people are really low key and there offices are WAY far away from North Hollywood/Burbank so we don't many up by my office.

Thanks a bunch!!

No - the Disney Logo is not a "D" but I work for Disney.com and the logo for Disney.com is the "D" from Walt Disney's signature in a red ball.

Oh my gosh I could die! The day of the event, someone BROKE THIS THING!!! and didn't tell me until I went down to vote for my favorite piece. They put it back together incorrectly and someone bid on it for the silent auction!! I had to fix it this morning. I wanted to cry on Friday, the day of the art show. It's fixed and it doesn't look quite as noce as it did before, but at least I have pictures.  Angry
