I love the clash and jackson pollock. this is my first circle skirt ever. the hole for my bum is actually an oval so it bunches and falls asymetrically. I really like it

super simple tute:
proceed as per normal with a circle skirt cutting a square of fabric into a circle. now take a measurement from where you want the skirt to sit on you.  cut an elipse or oval (not a circle if you want it to bunch like mine does) with te same diameter as your hips. try it on if it slips on fairl easy but dosn't slip off I don't see the point adding a waist band but if you would like one the bottom of an old stretchy tee is ample. BUT DO NOT ADD IT AT THIS POINT IF YOU WANT TO ADD SPLATS. unless you want the splats on the waist band as well.
the splats are easy I just used slightly watered down fabric paint, spread the skirt flat on my veranda (do this outside) dipped a brush in plenty of paint and started flipping and swishing it around. getting effects you like takes experimentation. ok then you wait for it to dry heat set it with your iron, then finish off all the hems. to get that lovely punky look I just zig zagged around to prevent fraying and left the hems unfinished. you could also just duct tape around the hems like that awesome blazer joe wears in some photos. actually I might track down some duct tape.

well I think I know how to do the splats...you just like flick it with acrylic paint right?  A tute for the skirt would be good though Grin

Double yay for the Clash! Also my favorite band. So anything inspired by them is twice as cool as it was already. Nice skirt, I like the design and the color contrasts Smiley
