here is my 1st attempt at knitting a doggie sweater.  i think it turned out pretty cute for a 1st try...

i drew a sketch of the whale and traced into a scrap of leather i had and i used a leather punch to make holes around the border so it could lace in on to the sweater...

*****the whale's eye is an old vintage brass button... Doesn't Puck look handsome??

I love it! The whale is nicely done. What kind of baby is Puck? Is he as mischevious as his name implies?  Wink

I got puck at the harlem animal shelter 2 years ago, so his parentage is a mystery of sorts.... he is pretty unrecognizably any breed.. alittle bit of everything...

and yeah, he is a little rebel...  poor guy has to put up with wearing clothes all the time..

heres my latest knit sweater with a good faceshot.

Both those sweaters are so nicely done.

They also coordinate well with Puck's rustic good looks. Wink

Did you use a pattern or did you just freehand it?

thanks guys!

i made freehanded the pattern, it was very simple... i just gauged pucks tummy measurement, knited up to his arms, left slits open and then decreased 2 stiches every row till it seemed like the right width for his neck.....

he is very pleased that you all think he is cute... he blushed when i said there was a pick of him on the internet...

he's so cute! he looks more maltese than anything (he actually looks exactly like mine except 1) his freaking adorable ears 2) mine is a little girl)

but the little sweaters, i love so much. when you make them do you make them shorter on the bottom than the top so he doesn't uh..go potty on it? oh! you should try making him a little tux sweater! =]
