My son is getting a mouse for his 7th birthday.  We both wanted to make something for it!!  Roll Eyes  I found this on Ebay http://stores.ebay.com.au/Mon-Ami-Petstuff_Mouse-Pouches_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQftidZ2QQtZkm and thought this would be the perfect thing to make.  It's called a Mouse Pouch.  There was also another one called a Rat Bag (which its dimensions were 30cm x 30cm [ie. 12in x 12in]) - cool names, I thought!!

Soooooo..... here is my version (complete with pink raw silk - cuz I wanna girl mouse.  Apparently they don't stink as much).  My dimensions were 8 inch square.  I used pink raw silk, blue polar fleece (cut from my other son's dressing gown which doesn't fit anymore) and a layer of wadding.

and opened....

Awww how cute! My rattie girls would have loved that. I may try to make a larger one for my ferret. Thanks for the great idea!

What a lucky mouse to be getting fancy silk things.  Smiley

Does "ratbag" mean the same in the US as the UK??  - ie "grumpy person"??!!  I do hope so.  Love the bag anyway. And the name!  Grin

Wow! I didn't know it meant that in the US!!!  In Australia a rat bag is an obnoxious person.  Well there you go, you learn something new every day.  Wink
