I just bought some of that wellbond last nite.
I had to reglue my OTT4, but the E6000 always comes out of the tube gloopy, so I went in search of a small mega-bond glue. I opened it and it was white and I was totally ticked. But now that you say it dries clear, I will dig it out of the trash and give it a try. THANKS!!
I did notice that it didn't have any fumes, which is a huge plus, too!

dude!  If you don't want it, send it to me, not to the landfill!   Wink  Trust me, it's completely worth the wait for it to dry.  I wanted to glue a string of those cheapo pearl along the edge of a round wooden piece, to make a brooch.  I started with E6000 for the basic hold, then smeared Weldbond all over it.  The next morning, it was clear and absolutely rock-solid!  (I know, I'm a walking commercial, but I love my Weldbond!)

I have to say that this is one of my favorite things about Craftster! I learn so many great tricks.

I will give it a whirl tonite. I also bought some gloss sealant. Did anyone try that for thier tins?

Thanks for the comments on the Old West tin!

Another tip - Weldbond glue.  I don't tend to hear it mentioned much on Craftster, but I absolutely swear by it.  I bought a bottle for a mosaics class a couple years ago, but you can use it for about anything.  It goes on like Elmer's white glue, and though it takes a while to dry (overnight, if you're gooping something up with a lot of it), it dries clear and is incredibly strong.  When I was putting the cord on the edge of the tin, I started with a layer of E6000 - which is tacky and bonds quickly - and then once the cord was on there, I dabbed Weldbond all over it to create a clear, extra-secure seal.

C'mon, craftsters - send out those Round 1 tins!!  We're aching for a Round 2, here!   Wink

Wow that is good to know - I do mosaics but haven't used Weldbond yet - I've heard that it's good but no details and I haven't seen it in the stores so would have to order over internet and just haven't yet. Will have to get out there and order some. <G>

I found some at walmart last nite in the glue section of the crafty area. It was about $3.

I had to call around and ended up ordering it in at a specialty art store.  Totally worth it, though; I still have a bunch left, and I end up needing it for projects I hadn't thought of earlier, and it really comes through.  I know you can get good results from E6000, but I have such an awful time working with it.

Ok, here's the tin that grasshopper sent!! It's so awesome and now I really feel bad about the one I sent her.. This was my first time doing the altoid tin thing, so I didn't really know what to do/expect.  I hope she likes her's in spite of my ignorance.  Anyway, on to the pics of the one she sent me!!  Oh, and she picked my asian theme.

I was just about to ask the same question!  That's a nice touch-- I'm sure if I tried that it would fly right off!

Beautiful tin!
