Hey everyone. I`m really hoping that this is the right section for this.

For Valentine's Day, my boyfriend took me to Build A Bear. We named our bear Anakin Darkstar, but he mentioned how awesome it would be to make it a little jedi costume. (I`m hoping I can make one for his panda bear for his birthday as well). Does anyone have any ideas for patterns? Should I just take a pattern and scale it down to size? I`d really appreciate any help as this will be my first -real- project.

Well, thanks!

I am a Star Wars fan, and think it is a very cool idea, if you come up with anything could you post it?

I'm currently making 5 Jedi tunics for my upcoming wedding.  (My fiance and son are wearing a black tunic with purple tabbards and the rest of the guys are wearing dark brown.)  Basically, the tunic is similar to a karate jacket/short kimino with tabbards added over the shoulder and under the obi.  It should be fairly easy to fashion up one for a bear.  Then just add some pants, boots (might be able to find some in the doll aisle at a craft store), and a lightsaber and you're all set.

Once the tunic is made just add rectangular strips that are twice the length top to botom of the tunic so they will drape all the way down front and back.  Wrap another around the waist and viola...your panda is a jedi. Wink
