This is a sweater I knit for my LongHaired Chihuahua Cosmo. He's a boy, and it's hard to find good boy clothes! So I just taught myself to knit!
This one's made out of angel hair yarn, which is really soft.

Here are some of the other sweaters I've made. I like the baseball tee! The dark brown one on the far right was super fast and easy-it's made with bulky yarn and knit with circular needles. (Well, I used the 4 double needle approach.)
The one at the bottom is my first attempt at multi colored stripes. It's all done-I just have to stitch it up! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be!!

~Enjoy!

I just looked at the pic again, and the striped sweater on the bottom looks funny! The neckband at the top of it is made of multi-colored yarn, so that's not a mistake or some weird stripe! Smiley

They look gorgeous!!  I like the one Cosmo is modelling - what a fantastic model too.  I agree, it's hard to find nice boys clothes! Cheesy

Thanks!
If anyone wants to know how to make them, I got the patterns from a great kit-it's called Posh Pooches. It's got some great small dog knitting patterns, and some cute wooden knitting needles with doggies on the end!
I got it from Barnes & Noble (they don't have it on their site). I also purchased one on EBay...yes I have two. I was afraid that I wouldn't find it at Barnes & Noble!

These are SOOOO cute! I'm going to have to make my doggy-girl one - only it will have to be crochet, because I don't know how to knit. It'll be pinks/lime, I think. Thanks for sharing the cute photos!

Yours came out so nice! I have that book, too. I made the basic sweater for Kaiser but he hates it. Sad

I think I didn't make the neck part long enough and it falls down. I got some great suggestions from the ladies in the knitting forum and I'm hoping to fix it.

Keep up the good work!

oh i love it!!! SO cute! i have to say i made the neck ribbing VERY long compared to the 3" they suggested! I just kept going until i could easily fold it back onto itself!

I live a knitting life, everything else is secondary. "Want to go out for a drink?" "Nope, sorry, I have a project at home that I'm close to finishing."

Absolutely Adorable! And so is the dog! Once i become more experienced with knitting hopefully my dogs will be running around in little sweaters like that!

All the sweaters are too cute for words. Shocked

I agree it's hard to find sweaters for male dogs that don't make them look foolishly girly.

Much easier to make your own.
