Sweaty Drink Season Is Here...

I did this all in 100% cotton yarns so it is completely machine washable

If anyone would like the pattern I would be more than happy to try to explain it...
Enjoy!  ~M

It's lovely!  Please try to explain the pattern a bit.  I'm pretty good at reading them, but I haven't been brave enough to try to make my own.

Thank You!!!

Ok Here I go.....the pattern requires an expanded circle:
chain 4, join to form a ring with a sl st
8 sc in ring (now start marking rows with safety pin to keep track)
2 sc in each st around (16 total sc)
1 sc first st, 2 sc in second st, repeat pattern until end of row (24 total sc)
1 sc in first two st, 2 sc in next st, repeat pattern until end of row (32 total sc)
1 sc in first 3 st, 2 sc in next st, repeat pattern until end of row (40 total sc)

now for the outer "petals":
switch color of yarn, chain 10, sl st into the BACK LOOP of next st, repeat all the way around the outside

now for inner "petals":
chain 7, sl st into the FRONT LOOP of next st, repeat all the way around the inside
finish off, sew in ends

***you can change the petal length by increasing or reducing the number of chains used***

the leaves:
with green yarn, chain 10, then in this order starting from the second ch from hook:  1 sc, 1 hcd, 1 dc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.  tie off and finish by sewing in ends.
sew leaves to the bottom of the flower as desired ( you could glue them too but it wouldnt hold up through the wash as well)

for the yarns I used sugar and cream brand 100% cottons

If ive confused anyone let me know and I will try to explain it differently
Enjoy!          ~M

Thanks!!!  I have some scraps I'd like to do something with so I'll try it out.  I don't have a digital camera, but maybe my husband can figure something out to get a picture posted when I'm done.  THANKS AGAIN!  Grin

Sorry I don't have any pictures I can post, but I followed your pattern for the most part and it came out great!  The only change I made was, that I made mine a little larger and closed it off in the back so a CD would slip into it.  If I can ever get pictures, I will post them.  Thanks for the pattern!!!  Grin
