I'm not super attached to the cancelling out, it does get a little crazy...But I do kind of like the idea of a prize because I think it will make people think really hard about how to put things in.

I think we should avoid as much "fighting" as possible, but I definately like the way this is going and I'm SOOOOO interested!..

I still think that everyone should contribute one small item to the "Grand Prize" which we'd mail to one of the org's at the same time our partner's package goes out. It takes a little less pressure of the orgs.

As for a required number of items I think 2 medium or 3-4 small items  is perfect as that gives people the option of just swapping or going for the gold!

One more thing. The hunt list should be a secret untill sign ups are closed so no one gets a head start on crafting.

Let's get to Hunting!

Absolutely! The only thing that anyone will know about the list is the 3-4 items that they contributed. But the rest... it will be a total surprise. Again, just the way scavenger hunts work!

I agree as well! Let's give people 24 hours to process the big long post Kaesea made, get all of our questions asked and answered, then we'll start sign-ups on Sunday.

Thank you so much kaesea for clearing things up! I like what kaesea said about counting the points straight up without cancelling anything out and then breaking a tie with scategories. Sound good?

Sounds great to me. I like the idea of Scategories breaking ties instead of guiding everything.

I have to check "New Swap Ideas" more often... I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!

I have nothing constructive to contribute...I am defintiely going to break my self-imposed swap freeze to get in on this action.

Good ideas, ladies!!!  Cheesy

All right! I had an idea for a prize, but I didn't want to say anything until I got permission. I've got permission now, so... I'll say something!

I am a long-time subscriber to The Sampler and, as a result, I have a lot of samples that I am not making the best use of. For a prize, I would put together a bunch of these samples and send them off to the winner.

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with The Sampler(TM). However, I have gotten permission from the wonderful and talented Marie to use the Sampler name here and to re-distribute samples that I have acquired from the Sampler.

How does everyone feel about this as a prize? If you've never heard of the Sampler, check the site and you'll see that I'm talking about a lot of cool crafted stuff coming your way.

If people still want to contribute to the prize (you craft something and send it to one of the organizers and we include it with the samples), that's fine. Just let us know... in fact, we'll put it as a question on the questionnaire. But even if no one wants to do it, there will still be a prize -- Sampler stuff!

Any thoughts on this?
