First post ever on Craftster ( I don't know why  Roll Eyes )

Just a little patch I made for my hoodie. It is on canvas.

The background image was made with my Creative Versa-Tool (I love it!) It is a photocopy burned onto the fabric essentially.

The stenciling was created with a transparency and the stencil cutting tip on my versa tool. And acrylic paint with fabric medium.

Creative Versa-Tool = God's Gift to crafters.

I'm feeling the love on the project.
Are you saying the you photocopied the image and then "burned" it with the burn tool? I really like the look, but want to be sure before I start setting stuff on fire.  Cool I bet I could use my soldering iron to do a similar sort of effect...- or I could at least have fun trying.

I put the canvas on glass, then out the photocopy face down on the canvas, then put a pillowcase that was slightly moist on top of it, to avoid the fire. You have to rub the transfer tool over it really quickly, because if you leave it on one spot it will brown and smell funny.

Thanks! I get what you are saying. That is just too cool.
I was looking at those Versa Tool thingeys and basically they are just a soldering iron with different tips - awesome!!  Cool
I think you have inspired me to go burn some stuff. I just love having excuses to pull out the soldering iron.

I don't get it at all -- it's a stencil?  It's a woodburner used to burn cloth?  Huh  I think I need to check this tool out!  I love the way the patch looks, all burnt and old school.  Blotty typewriter.  Very cool.
