or bleach it?
I have one of those jansports, and mine used to be the only polka dotted one in school...well then it caught on. so is it possible to bleach it all white, then dye it? Or is there a protective covering or something that won't let it do that?

any help is appreciated greatly!  Grin

i know the bleach PENS work..
/grumble..
i used one to decorate my old rugby shorts with stars and everything

the entire district promptly started having decorated shorts
and then my whole school started doing bags and clothes and such

i did this 6 years ago, before it was popular.

/end bitterness

sorry. The bleach pens work, i know for a fact, because I did some french poetry on my friend's jansport for her.

hmmm....yes, bleach will work.  It is powerful stuff.

But...will you be able to get all the bleach out so the dye will set in?  That is the million dollar question.

You might want to try it on an inconspicuous place.

Another thing you might want to think about is using some fabric paint to create a new look.  Or applique'.

Haha, it's not popular at all around here, i just don't want to buy a new back pack.

and, that's a good point, i'll have to try in a hidden spot.
