I casted off in knit too.  I hate casting off in purl unless the pattern calls for.   Tongue

I was actually also looking for a leaf pattern!  I love the idea of putting some fragrance on it.   I'm now learning how to make a hand bouquet out of these roses.

Here's one I have saved that could possibly be used.  The pattern called for fall colored varigated yarn and size 9 needles.

Start with yarn about 12 before the color changes to the next color. Leave a 10 tail.
Use size 9 needles CO 5 stitches
Row 1: (RS) K2, YO, k1, YO, k2. (7) sts
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl
Row 3: K3, YO ,k1, YO, k3. (9) sts
Row 5: K4, YO, k1, YO, k1, k4. (11) sts
Row 7: K5, YO, k1, YO, k5. (13) sts
Row 9: Ssk, k9, k2tog. (11) sts
Row 11: Ssk, k7, k2tog. (9) sts
Row 13: Ssk, k5, k2tog. (7) sts
Row 15: Ssk k3, k2tog. (5) sts
Row 17: Ssk, k1, k2tog. (3) sts
Row 19: Sl 1, k2tog, psso. (1) st
Fasten off.

I will see if I can get a picture posted...brb.....
