Shucks guys, thanks, yes tulle it is!
I'll let you all know how the shoes survive
My tutu is being lent out for the occasion, but a little worried about that baby as it was all hand sewn (the curses of my mum's sewing machine being 1000km away!)
but i guess means i can easily put it back together (xfingers)

update - combination of Glitter, paint and textile fixitive worked awesomley, no glitter trail yay... they got rather dusty (outside party with grass being very sparse) and are definitely washable under the tap, only minor prob is some of the red glitter has gone sliver but that may have something to do with accidently spilling vodka and red bull on em teehee
Thnx for all your adivce

is it equal parts glitter-paint-fixative, or less of some? what are the amounts you used?

i wasnt very scientific about it but i'd guess at equal amounts of glitter and paint and then twice as much fixative
like 1:1:2

yes on the tule

and a question for you on the tutu

What exactly did you do to make the tutu??

I would like to make something like that for a fairy costume, how did you do that?

I like it with the tulle. The tutu is cuute (Im not much for pink but it is). I also really like the dorothy outfit! The shoes are a perfect touch.
