These are several gift tags I made using spray paint. I used these for Christmas and will be making more for Valentine's day.

Here's the How-to:

Materials:

spray paint in several different colors
tray filled with shallow water (the disposable pans at the grocery store work well)
paper
pencil or other pointy thing

How-to:

Fill a shallow tray with water. Take your different colors of spray paint and spray them on the surface of the water. (not too close, and it doesn't take much). Use a pencil to manipulate the surface of the water to create a pattern. Place paper on the surface of the water and make sure the entire surface is in contact with the paint/water. Then lift up by the corners and set aside to dry. You will need to reapply paint each time. You can remove residual paint in the water by wiping it away with newspaper in between applications. Use a paper punch to cut out tags from one big sheet. Also try it on different flat objects, ex. boxes, picture frames, make envelopes, book covers... possibilities are endless.

Very nice.   Did you just spray the paint in a bucket of water and swirl it?
