If you need an angel for someone who didn't recieve for this swap, I would be glad to make some more lgbt goodness.  I'd hate for someone not to recieve from their because this swap was so much fun.

I finally received my amazing angel package from millik! Thank you so much! I just typed out a huge post, and then it went buh-bye, so you'll get the abrievated version.

Okay.
So I open my package, and the first thing that I see is a drawsting pouch.

She keeps saying that she's not a great seamstress... but look at this. She's pleated it so that you don't really see the colors until you fill the bag!

In that bag, there are five buttons! (yay! I love buttons!)

Someone's been researching, and knew that I'm attending a french immersion program this summer, and made me a french button! My favorite is the 2-4-6-8 Do you really think she's straight?" Button with the cheerleader!

She also sent me two rainbow wristbands that fit perfectly- I have really teeny wrists, so most times wristbands swim-but these fit perfectly!

Action shot!

(look! even my sheets are gay pride! Yay! Rainbow stripes!)

She also sent me some stationary- gay animals in luurve! And low-key enough that I can send it in the mail to people that aren't so... gay friendly.

But that's not all!
She sent me two copies of Lavendar, a local 'gay' magazine...

And a table of contents, because it's just so cute!

She also sent me a really cool french poster

Roughly translated, (to me, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!)
Love is the child of Bohemia (meaning an uncapitalist, unjudging society), who never ever knew the law of patriarchial sexism (meaning that love is a thing controlled by society and it's morals, which are that love is a girl-guy thing).

She also sent me zines!

I love zines!

Thank you so much Millik! I will be the envy of everyone at the next SAGA meeting!

And edited just to show off the SAGA webpage that I'm designing- it's still in test modes... so...

Yay, I am so glad you liked your stuff!! Like I said, I was nervous about the pouch and the wristbands because I kept screwing them up one way or another. A couple more notes...

- The pouch was sewn from a pattern in a book called Omiyage that has all of these cute little pouches in it. I think it's my new favorite book. I am a big fan of things that are small and cute  Smiley

 - My partner worked out that the wristband is reversible! So, if you're feeling more queer on the inside than on the outside some days, you can wear it with the black side out and the rainbow side down Wink

- Your french translation is pretty good and you're almost right on target! The text on the top is a quote from the opera Carmen (I didn't know that, I had to cheat and look it up!) and like you said it means "Love is a child of Bohemia who has never known law/rule." (More loosely translated: "Free love!") Then, the bottom part was added by whatever organization made the poster and it just says "Against the patriarchy & sexism!" Hooray for revolutionaries!

- Lastly, watch out for the animal notecards! I put little titles on the back of each one that sometimes give away the theme. In fact, I think the only card that doesn't say "gay" or "queer" on the back is the one of two penguins who I just called "Greg and Steve" or something like that. I won't be offended, though, if you white out the titles to send one to your grandparents. Wink I have a picture of those at home on my camera, so I'll post it when I get home from work tonight!

Again, I'm so glad that you liked your stuff! I had a lot of fun making everything & I'm glad that even though this swap happened before I was really into craftster, I still got to contribute in some way. <3

Thanks so much! I totally didn't notice the words on the back of the cards. I'll watch out- but I love the captions! I totally missed those! I cannot imagine my grandmother flipping over a card...  Yay for me being almost right on the french translation... ironically, they haven't taught us a lot of those words in French II... but I used my dictionary... and... yay! Thanks for the tip on the wrist bands.

And once again- thanks! Everything is great! I can't wait to show it off at SAGA. Really. I know this sounds lame, but SAGA is like... my gay time.

I finally got around to getting these pictures off of my camera, so here are the notecards I made for americandemockracy. From the top, they are gay salmon, penguins, sheep, flamingos, owls and grizzly bears:
