Hiya folks
It's me again.  Grin
I got 3 of my first felting needles EVER from the lovely teamwang the other day (tah again, miss. wang Smiley ) and was originally going to add details to the cuffs I made. And then I had a bad day and broke ALL 3 on a little tiny bird!!!!! WAaaaHhhh!!! I knew it was a sign when the first 2 broke, but did i stop?? Hell, no!!!
 Tongue
Teamwang then emailed me back laughing her arse off and telling me in the year that she's been doing needle felting she's NEVER broken a single needle. heheh. okay...so we both know what is a better choice for me....
off to buy a few more needles this weekend...
 Smiley
So I just finished a round of felt cuffs that I want to further embellish and add stuff to... I made them with the wet felt technique and used up all the lovely sample colours I dyed myself with the local store's kool-aid selection. I used a natural coloured merino to dye with, so the colours came out more...earthy.
(See far left cuff for original colour) -This is a very bad scan purely out of laziness...

Off to spend all my money on more roving, koolaid and Balloons!! next project is felted vessels!!!!!!!! YAY!

Heyho folks!
I have finally finished my cuffs I posted above, and thought I would see what you thought. I'd rather just update 'em on the first page anyway.
They are accented with extra needle felted goodies, wool, embroidery floss and glass beads.
the cuff with the orange spots has coral beads on it.
I'll be putting snaps on all of them too....
do you think they would sell??? I know I've got my fave. heeheehee.

Those are really really great!
I am very envious of your learning to felt. I should really stop being intimidated by new crafts! Felting is just so amazing.

Oh Lexis, way cool.  Are you going to needle in more embellishment or sew on beads, ribbons, buttons, vintage findings?  Great colors and nice designs.

On the needle breakage - were you running into wire/metal armature?  Or just j-hooking the needle?  If one does other than a straight line in and out the same channel those brittle felting needles snap right quick.

lexis - I'm amazed at the range of colors you've made with your Koolaid.
So many different pinks and reds!
My favourites are the marine green one with pink and marrone spots, and the red stripey one

They look fabulous to me.  The only way to know for sure if they will sell is to try.  Best wishes!
