tickle_me_ally received my package & said she could post pictures or I could since I took some before sending.  So, here's what I made her!

Amelie Trinket Box - I decoupaged this box with red mulberry paper (inspired by amaryllisroze's shrine boxes).  Amelie and the "nobody's little weasel" are made out of shrink plastic.

Gnome Pillow - "It's Better to Help People Than Garden Gnomes.  ~Amelie Poulain"

Some Eiffel Tower Fabric and some French Lavender Soap(well the lavender oil used for this batch of soap was actually from Sequim, Washington, but I had to keep with the Amelie theme, right? Wink)

This swap was so much fun! Bring on round 2!   Grin

I love that gnome fabric so much!  I've been trying to find it at various fabric stores, but everyone looks at me weird when I say, "May I please see your gnome fabric line?"  I wish I could find it- it'd work great in my quilt!

Anyone up for a Jasper Fforde swap?

As if these swap items could not get any cuter, along comes the gnome pillow by anna-begins!  If there were a craftster hall of fame, this Amelie swap would be in it!!   Grin

Thanks all for the kinds words!  Isn't the fabric cute?!  When I heard there was going to be an Amelie swap I had to buy some! Munki Munki does make a really cute gnome pattern, but that one I used for the pillow I actually found it at equilter.com

http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=65970&sid=31U9Hz1U6E@Q7Q9-30106403535.20

It is from the Lightning Bugs And Other Mysteries collection, designed by Heather Ross for Free Spirit.

You can also find it on eBay sometimes!

Knit Core, I have gnome pj's too! They're the winter flannel ones that were sold at Target-  I have to pick up the summer set next. One needs a gnome pj wardrobe!

---

I received from KCGal. Words don't do justice to her amazing crafts. I've been moving all weekend, so I haven't taken pictures yet, but:
  • gnome cookies!!!
  • amelie treasure box -in the most spelndiferous box EVER- trinkets from all the character's lives!
  • photo book featuring scenes from Amelie's world, the gnome.. oh, it's fantastic!!!
  • painting of La Tour Eiffel, by KCGal!!!
  • a bag of split peas, just like Amelie slips her hand into! Little did KCGal know, I make a mean split pea soup!

I'm sure that I'm forgetting some of the incredible items. I am truly overwhelmed. It is utterly awesome.
