I was just checking out everyone's stuff because I dig the movie and look what I found! You're getting
really good, anna!

Thanks! As you know I've been totally inspired by your shrine boxes.  I really like working w/the mulberry paper.  I still haven't tried creating something with those tiny papermache books like you do - I have them but I'm a bit intimidated by their small size!

I'm so glad Nutella posted a pic of the nifty things she sent to me.  Do yourselves a favor:  download the songs that she included on the CD she made for me...you'll love them all!

The teddy bear is just the sweetest thing to include, and such a great tie-in with the movie.  The bracelet, necklace, and bird earrings (which you can't see close-up, since they are in the box) are colorful and match my entire wardrobe.  Another touching item in the treasure box:  a box of matches from a restaurant in Paris--Nutella has been to Paris and even visited the Deux Moulins!  I appreciate having one of your Paris keepsakes!

Thanks again, Nutella.  You're a gem.

Which is fitting, given the theme of "Amelie!"   Cheesy

Okay, here goes nothin'...
I'm attempting to post images for the FIRST TIME!  Hands sweaty...heart pounding...
These are pics of the items I sent to Nutella.  First, the gnome cookies (a borrowed a friend's gnome cookie cutter):

Next, the treasure box, notebook, and paint-by-number of Paris:

The box includes:  leaves with hole punches (reference to Collignon's dad), antique key (like the one Amelie uses to sneak into Collingon's apartment), skipping stones, lolllipop (Amelie describes the lolllipop display to the blind man during their brisk walk to the Metro), marbles (from Bredoteau's childhood flashback), French flag stickers, Eiffel Tower paper clip, and cards with sealing wax designs.

Lastly, one of the pages from the notebook/album/scrapbook:

My garden gnome roamed around various points in Okla. City, including the State Capitol (pictured) and I put pictures of him in the notebook.  His pages have Paris-themed rubber stamping.  Also, I put pics of Amelie and others in the notebook, using photo corners.  I used the cherry motif a lot in the notebook, with rubber stamping and a cherry hole punch.

Whew!  fingers crossed that all of the technical stuff worked with these pics.  I know they are a bit dark.

KCGal those cookies are too cute!  Great frosting job!  I love the paint-by-number Paris picture too!  You were so clever at including things in the treasure box from the movie!

KCGal, thank you so much for posting the pictures! I promise to post photos of all of the items once they're living in my new house. (Um, except for the yummy cookies- those are living in my tummy!)

Ok Bobolink, sorry it's taken me so long to do this..... but here we go! Here are the things I sent her:

Shrinky-dink stitch markers that feature pictures of my travels through Europe with little gnomes superimposed in the corners! These took me foreeeeever to do, because the ink kept rubbing off every time I'd try to print them. After about a week I figured out that I had been printing on the wrong side!

Here's a stenciled shirt I did featuring Amelie. Bobolink said it fits well, which is the biggest thing I was worried about.

I also included a little bottle of brandy with a recipe for Amelie's famous Plum Cake (the recipe called for brandy, I didn't include it just for kicks!)

Bobolink I'm glad you liked everything, and thank you for being such a great swap partner!!
