Wow!  I recently decided that I like the shape of Tubey after all (at first the top was a bit too shruglike for me, but I'm warming up to it), and yours looks just great!  It fits you perfectly!  I like the longer sleeves, too.  It really does look absolutely wonderful on you.

I love this in solid and without the ribbing! And the longer, non-belled sleeves are great. This is a nice modification to a pattern that I previously thought, "Not my style." The way you've done it, it definitely is! And it looks great on you. Nice job!

Your ubey is really making me rethink my opinion of Tubey. I really like your version, it looks fabulous.

thank you so much, everyone. i'm going to make another one, i think, same gorgeous yarn, but darker colour, and a little longer. one of the greatest things about this is how easy it is to try it on and measure as you go.

I don't know how to blend where the provisional cast on was, it might just be the yarn. If you made it again you could go cuff to cuff the way the One Skein Wonder does.

This is what I'm knitting for the Knitting Olympics!  Yours looks GREAT!  I like that you did the body in ST.  I planned to make the body a little longer and skip the stripes too.  Now I'm really excited to finish mine!

your tubey is gorgeous, and i think i might make one as my first sweater!  i was wondering - do you have a picture of the back?  is there any weirdness at all in the transition from the tube part to the shrug part?  thanks.

will try and post a pic of the back later. if anyone is going to do it in stst, please don't forget to do a couple of rows in some ribbing (or seed or whatever) at the neck so it doesn't curl.
