I got the best package from cheekymamaof2 yesterday! A box FULL of all kinds of fabrics and quilting squares!

I felt bad when I was taking the pictures because all the squares were stacked up so neatly and I was ruining the tidy little piles!!

i recieved two birthday wishes from lexbean plus lots of extra surprise goodies.

i had wished for candles and a zipper pouch.

take a look at what she plied me with...









look at all those extra goodies - hand creams, mini bath bombs, a tiny 'free to be you and me' book!

isn't that amazing? as an added bonus, i think the zipper pouch is made from a recycled usps mailer or something. i love artful reusing projects and this really impressed me.

I received a great birthday surprise from RobynLisa!  It was a whole package, including my embellished cardigan, some matching socks, some bath/spa supplies, and a pocketbook.  It is reallly really more than I could have expected!  I will post pics when I can.

I received my package from kluckingbear today and it is beautiful. She fullfilled my wishes for embroidery stuff and a pin cushion. They are amazing!

Everything together:

Little b-day goodies, and embroider organizer sort of like the ones for knitting needles,  two embroidery books, cards for embroidery floss, shiny floss, a hoop, a pin cushion, and 1 of 2 chocolates she sent me (I already ate one. . . .)

robynlisa rules all!!  i received her amazing gifts today, and boy--it couldn't have come at a better time! i got some snazzy socks, some fabric, nifty notecards, some nice buttons, an absolutey GREAT smallish pocketbook that'll hold my driving licence & some cash perfectly, and yummy cherry blossom smelling bath-y goods.

what a fantastic gift-giver you are, robynlisa...thank you so much. i'll try to post pics tonight....

Sweetie pie press got her package, and told me that her camera is not cooperating, so I am posting the pictures.  She wanted a subversive stuffie, and suggested an eyeball, and I happily obliged!!!



I made the eyeball out of craft felt.  I used a fancy stitch on my sewing machine to give it bloodshot eyes, handsewed the iris and pupil on (complete with a light reflection!), and knit the optic nerve and attached it.  Somewhere under all that optic nerve is a Zanti Miss Knit Creation label.

I was originally going to put googly eyes on the iris, because I thought that light reflection on the pupil looked like a tooth (making the pupil look like a mouth), but I decided that it was cute enough as-is.

I will try to post other pics to my blog, as I have a huge blog entry on the agenda.
