But why?

So, after crocheting a Saber Toothed Lime (which I'll post the details of in a little bit), I wanted to scale it down. The Saber Toothed Lime was about the size of a baseball.
I saw seme teeny tiny crochet hooks in the craft store, and the wide array of DMC floss. Suddenly I knew what I had to do...

Lime earrings!

Here's what they look like on my ears, for scale:

They're just DMC 6 strand floss, crochet into little lime shapes with a tiny hook. I made up the pattern through trial and error. They're a little bit heavy for my tastes, but thats mostly beacuse I never ever wear dangly earrings. I probably wouldn't wear them, but I know some folks who would.

I'll post the pattern if anyone is interested.

Thanks Smiley

Here's the pattern I came up with... I'm not very familiar with crochet pattern instructions to let me know if this is unclear

For the whole lime:

row 1: ch 2, 4 sc in first ch
row 2: ch 1, 1 sc in each sc (4 stitches), join
row 3: ch1, 2sc in each sc (8 stitches), join
row 4: ch1, *1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc* 4 times (12 stitches), join
row 5: ch1, *1sc in next sc, 1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc* 4 times (16 stitches), join
Rows 6 - 12: ch1, 1 sc in each sc (16 stitches), join
Row 13: ch1, *1 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, dec 1 sc* 4 times (12 stitches), join
Stuff limes as stuffed as you possibly can
Row 14: ch1, *1 sc in next sc, dec 1 sc* 4 times (8 stitches), join
row 15: ch1, *dec 1 sc* 4 times (4 stitches)
row 16: 1 sc in each sc around
row 17: 1 sc in each sc around
finish ends

For the half lime:
row 1: ch 2, 4 sc in first ch
row 2: ch 1, 1 sc in each sc (4 stitches), join
row 3: ch1, 2sc in each sc (8 stitches), join
row 4: ch1, *1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc* 4 times (12 stitches), join
row 5: ch1, *1sc in next sc, 1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc* 4 times (16 stitches), join
Rows 6 - 9: ch1, 1 sc in each sc (16 stitches), join
Row 10: switch to ligher green color. ch 1, 1 sc in each sc around, join
row 11: ch1, *1 sc in next sc, dec 1 sc* 4 times (12 stitches), join
Stuff with polyfill
row 12: ch1, *dec 1 sc* 6 times (6 stitches), join
row 13: ch1, *dec 1 sc* 3 times (3 stitches), join
finish

Those probably don't make any sense... like I said I don't really use crochet patterns ever so I'm not really sure how to write them! Any corrections to the nomenclature are appreciated.
