Ive made my second ever handbag for my neice who is fairy crazy! and while showing off a few people have mentioned wanting one.
Do you think these are A nice enough for a gift and B nice enough to sell. I m adding a little zip purse to go with them. i sort of winged my way through it based of what i had learnt about making a simple lined envelope. Im nervous as this will be my first handmade gift since a lil girl. Im also only fairly new to sewing.

The dots in the handles are glitter and they are attached by ribbons, they are only fabric lined with no stiffner.
Side A

Side B

showing linner (more fairy fabric)

Great job. I love the fabric. its for sure worthy of giving as a present, and selling.

but two suggestions:
-Use something stronger then ribbon
-But a bottom in it, so it can handel larger things put in it!

in concluison Great Bag Cheesy

I think it's really cute and you could sell them if you follow perilously_divine's suggestions (something stronger than a ribbon and make it square bottomed) plus this one:  do a simple top stitch around the top opening.  You will be amazed at how much more professional that simple thing will make it!

the material's really sweet... I'm sure it'll make a great gift.

I agree with using something stronger than ribbon to attach the handles - you never know what people are going to try to carry around with them

thanks for the advice  - it all helps -
I was worried about the ribbons as well so I doubled them up, but I think i will change, I think it might be strong enough for my neices needs - fiary barbie and bangles usually  but for others....
I want to keep the tab ribbon look - do you think a tap of material with the ribbon sewen on top would work.
What do you put in the bottom to make it stiffer? fabric covered cardboard, have to find an old handbag to see now!!
I got the handles at spotlight in Australia, but also have sen them at Big W - do americans have that - its sorta like kmart - which im assuming sounds like walmart!!
Wow I cant believe I was so nervous!!!
