Haha... I LURVE my fabric!!! Although I have way too much and always try to bum it off on people in swaps.... I just organized it like that and it makes it soo much easier to find things...

Stargirl's received, and she asked me to post pictures!

For the item of clothing, I did an iron-on t-shirt:

For the useful item, I turned a hardcover book into a notebook (more info and pics here).


And I made Knitty's Kate, except I call her Meg! Again more info and pics here.


For supplies, I was kind of at a loss what to send. Because stargirl lives in Florida, I figured sending wool, the majority of my stash, wouldn't be such a hot (ha ha) idea. So I recycled a thrift store cotton sweater:


You can't see the labels all that well, but they just specify the yardage and 100% cotton. It was fun making them - they're in a Harry Potter font.

I also sent some fabric - cotton too. If I remember correctly the star panels glow in the dark.


And I've received from stargirl!


From left to right: The polkadot fabrics make up my very own needle case! Thank you, stargirl, I have wanted one for ages. Right beneath that is a little zippered pouch with a red ribbon stripe (lined with Batman fabric, I'll have you know!). In the middle is a small purse, and it is lined with the same fabric as the stars are made from. I find the handle very curious; it is quite sturdy. How did you make it like that? Then next to that is a binder that says "Sarah Knit This"!. Inside it is divided into sections like scarves, bags and accessories, and she printed out knitting patterns and put them inside. I particularly like the Gryffindor lion chart - my cousin's eyes went all big when she saw that. Guess I know what I'm making her for Christmas! I've actually done some colourwork before but nothing really serious, and I've been looking for something like that for a while.
Then beneath is a bunch of yarn! The Homespun is so soft, and I think I'm going to make a pair of Very Tall Socks from Knitty with the other yarns. Thank you, stargirl!

Wow!  You guys did an awesome swap together!    My mister would really love that notebook!  He's obsessed with pirates (sometimes)!  He might be upset that you ripped the pages out...  Even if they WERE bad...   

I love the zipper pouch and the needle case!  You should show some more detailed pics of those... 

I have the b&w polka-dot fabric, too.  Oddly, I was thinking of making a zipper case with it!  Or a skirt for work...  Not sure... 

I love, love, love the recycled yarn, too!  I bet Stargirl thinks it's the best part! 

Anyway, awesome job on the swap--BOTH.

I'm glad you liked your stuff! I'm wearing my Harry Potter shirt right now!! My brother asked me if I got it from the mall.  
I really really wanted to keep that needle case for my self, I loved the polka dots! All of the knitting patterns are ones that I already had printed out, I was going to print more, but I had no idea what kind of patterns you would have wanted. I haven't done the Gryffindor chart yet, but it's the next thing on my list!
