Ambo,
Did you try babelfish.com?

I had posted this translation on the crochet general discussion section, but did not recopy the whole translation:  You should go to babelfish.com and type in the url of the japanese page, and select Japanese to  English as your translation.

I used babelfish and here's what came up for the part discussing the stitches:

Head (1)
Row #of stiitches
1       6      Doing the making eye of the わ knitting, 6 eyes it knits the frame knitting (I assume this means "make a single crochet 6 x into a ring)

2    12   6 eyes it increases, (increase is knit 6 times)  (I assume:  2 sc in each sc)

3   18  6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 1 time, the repetition of increase 1 time) ( I assume:  *2 sc in one stitch, then 1 sc in next* all the way around - OK you get the idea I hope)

4   24   6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 2 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

5   30   6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 3 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

6   36   6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 4 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

7  42   6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 5 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

8  48  6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 6 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

9 - 15  48 Without increase and decrease it knits to 15 step め (work even for rows 9-15)

16  42  6 eyes it decreases, (the frame knitting 6 time, repetition 1 of decrease eyes)

17  36  6 eyes it decreases, (the frame knitting 5 time, repetition 1 of decrease eyes)
18  30  6 eyes it decreases, (the frame knitting 4 time, repetition 1 of decrease eyes)
19  24  6 eyes it decreases, (the frame knitting 3 time, repetition 1 of decrease eyes)
20  18  6 eyes it decreases, (the frame knitting 2 time, repetition 1 of decrease eyes)

Torso (1)

5    30  6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 3 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

6    36  6 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 4 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

7 - 23   36 There is no increase and decrease

4-7  15  There is no increase and decrease

8     10   5 eyes it decreases, (the frame knitting 1 time, repetition 1 of decrease eyes)

9-24  10 There is no increase and decrease

Tail (1)
Row  # of stitch
1       6   Doing the making eye of the わ knitting, 6 eyes it knits the frame knitting

3-22  8  There is no increase and decrease

Ear (2)
Row  # of stitch
1     4    Doing the making eye of the わ knitting, 4 eyes it knits the frame knitting
2     8   4 eyes it increases, (increase is knit 4 times)
3   10   2 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 3 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)
4   12   2 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 4 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)
5   14   2 eyes it increases, (the frame knitting 5 time, the repetition of increase 1 time)

Mouth (1)
Row  # of stitch
1        7 Doing the making eye of the わ knitting, 7 eyes it knits the frame knitting
2       14   7 eyes it increases, (increase is knit 7 times)
3-10  14 Without increase and decrease it knits to 10 step め. When it finishes knitting 10 step め, the cotton is stuffed

11      4  Time 3 eyes time 1 4 eyes time 1 4 eyes 1 time 1 3 eyes

* 11 step め of mouth, time 3 eyes how to knit 1 time 1 4 eyes
"1 time 2 eyes" please think of the usual decrease eye. If it attracts 2 attention at one time and the fact that it pulls out, 3 eyes (4 eyes) it pulls at one time and pulls out it is OK.

I don't understand this last bit.  Can someone explain it to me?

Ambo,
I don't know what size hook.  I'd just use whatever the yarn calls for.

With babelfish, there's a section for translating a web page.  It's down in the middle of babelfish's page.  You just cut and paste the URL into that spot, and select the language you want to translate from and to, and voila, it translates the web page.  Good luck!

anyone figure out what the last step in the mouth means yet?

it says:

time 3 eyes time 1 4 eyes time 1 4 eyes time 1 3 eyes time

and it says you should have 4 stitches left, but i have no idea what it means....

how did you do the mouth sushimifune?

Carrie, it means that you make 4 decreases, but instead of making a "two stitches decrease", you pick up 3 stitches, then 4, then 4, then 3. In this way you start from 14 stitches and you end up with 4.
(3+4+4+3=14)
Is it clear enough? I'm sorry my "crochet english" sucks :-)

Thanks for the beginning part of the translation...can anyone finish it? I'm a bit slow when it comes to translating patterns into Crochet-English....even just more of the first section (head) into stich-talk would help me out. I could probably suss out the rest.

Like, how many chains is the starting ring?
