The boxes are pre-made. I get them from Michael's, but from what I can tell, not all Michael's carry them.

Then I just decoupage them with mulberry paper & Liquitex Matte Medium. You can use Modge Podge as well, I just prefer the Liquitex. Sometimes I paint or stain them. (check out the blog in my signature and you can see what I'm talking about. Warning - the blog is way, way image heavy!)

The letters on the cover are little metal ones made by Making Memories...they make scrapbook stuff.

As for price, its really hard to say. I tend to wander around craft stores and just pick up bits & pieces I like, usually with no specific project in mind. Some are more expensive than others and most items come in packages with more than one item in them. But often I'm only able to use one item in the package because the others aren't the right size or just don't appeal to me.

Case in point, the letters on the cover. The package was about $7. There were only 2 letter "A"s in the pack, so I'm pretty limited on what I can use the rest of the pack for now. So I would calculate the price of this one to be more expensive than some others.

And I forgot to put the disclaimer in the subject line that this was image heavy. I'll fix that now!

Oh my goodness. I've never seen any of your boxes before so I justed checked out your blog. Amazing. I always wondered what could be done with those little book things. These are amazing. Kudos to you.
