I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a rubber stamp swap.

Ideas for swap items include:

1. New and/or gently used rubber stamps.
2. Rubber stamp making supplies
3. Paper, inks, and other materials used for rubber stamping
4. Rubber stamped items.

I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in something like this. If so, please comment or PM me. Thanks!

There's no current deadline. I was just seeing if people would be interested in this idea. Considering that I've only gotten one response in a ocuple days, I'm guessing that now is not the time for this swap. Oh well. Maybe in a few months...

I like making stamps.  Right now I've been making them out of foam sheets.  Before that, I carved them out of lino, which I also used for printing on tees.  But the foam soaks in some of the ink, so it always prints out differently.  Plus, I just made large foam stamps with hearts as Valentines!

I make craft foam shaped stamps, but how do you make more detailed ones on foam?

I think if you want something really detailed, it would be easier to cut into something that doesn't have as much "give" how foam does.  A regular pink eraser or lino would be ideal.  For the foam, I use an X-Acto knife to cut the shapes..  For the lino I used wood carving hand tools.  Dental tools are also useful.  I'm not sure if you can get lino at regular craft stores.. it's used more for printmaking.  Thus, I bought mine at Dick Blick Art Materials.
