ok i have a question for everyone who has knit this. I want to skip the steeking and work the top parts flat, how would i go about this? would i need to keep knitting the faux side seam? would i put the front on stitch holders and knit the back and then move to the front two pieces?

i skipped the armhole steeks & only steeked the neck.  i didn't continue with the side steek "seam."  you'll be picking up stitches along your edges so you can hide funky looking edges or decreases.

putting the back on holders while knitting the front or vice versa just makes it easier on you while you knit.  and i supposed you could stretch out your already knitted portions or something.  sometimes it gets a bit tough, but i usually manage without using holders & just keep the finished portions on my needles.  though i do use really long circs which helps with that.

i know there are a few people trying this without steeking...how's that working out for yall?  i'm definitely going to be doing it without the steeking with some yarn from a failed poncho (it was atrocious) that i took out...

I had to do quite a bit of resizing with my sewing machine (I blocked it for the wrong size), but I'm in love.
