Weird, it seems like alot of people had the same idea as me about a light pink/ dark pink color combo!

I ordered my Knitpicks yarn on Sunday night... I'll let you know when I receive it!

Aw! What about my RYC Cashsoft? I just suddenly realised that it's machine- washable! Oh well, I must find myself a sewing machine then.
Anyway, I did a swatch yesterday on #4 and my gauge is totally off widthwise. I got 28 sts/30 rows!
It's also very uneven and I made some mistake in the pattern.
Oh well, practice makes perfect, I hope.

I'm knitting this for the Olympics(yes, I'm questioning my sanity), so I can't cast on yet.

yuvee, your swatch is amazing! i gasped aloud!  I didn't notice the mistake until I read the commentary.

I have to finish a few other WIPs before I can start this vest, so no KAL, but I'm so pumped.  My boyfriend is sick of hearing about it.  I was planning on using Knitpicks Merino Style in asparagus MC and honey CC, but then BAM! asparagus went out of stock.  But the color card is in the mail, so we'll see...

Ooh and, Eunny, or anyone with steeking know-how: The closest thing I have these days to a "fuzzy DK yarn" is Classic Elite Inca Alpaca, 100% alpaca in a light worsted.  Thoughts?  As if I really have an issue splurging on yarn if I need to...

ARRRGH!  I just got my knitpicks confirmation... five to fifteen days to wait for the yarn!  I can't even start swatching! *sulks jealously, coveting yuvee's swatch*

They said that for mine too when I ordered on a Wednesday and got it Saturday. Maybe you'll be lucky too!

Dammit! I just got my knitpicks yarn, and the colors are definitely off- a deep red and a lilac-pink. Not hot pink and rose like I thought.

I could make myself a nice Valentine's-Day-Themed Vest, but that's not really the look I'm going for.

Guess I'll have to make a return.

I haven't bought the pattern yet, but I want to buy my yarn first, because I might be able to get a really good deal right now. Can anyone tell me what brand yarn is used for this and how many skeins for the 42" bust size? Also the gauge would be good too.

Thanks in advance!!!
