Drag it out of the trash... and make it beautiful

My best friend  had one of the ever popular, ever vaguely offensive Smoking Babies.  At any rate, we got on a long conversation about using Hitler's image in ways that he would have never approved of, and how that was more offensive to him than it was to those who were oppressed by him, and I guess it inspired her, because she turned her Smoking Baby into this:

Perhaps I'm being over-defensive, but I'd like to reiterate that this is in no way an attempt to glorify Hitler or minimize what he did.  She (and I) mocks dictators - she doesn't celebrate them.

Haha! That's great! Of course they're going to be some people offended by it but anything will offend at least someone.

A few years back someone wrote to one of those newspaper advice doctors explaining how their husband committed suicide and she gets offended whenever he uses the term "hang in there" something I remember him using quite a bit, the doc replied back stating that he in no way meant any insult and as for using it in future articles, he stated that he would "drop it". A few weeks later he printed a letter by another angry reader that was so incensed that he would use the word "drop" in such a context and felt sure that it was some sort of potshot.

I love this. I'm not sure how anyone can find this offensive, since you're obviously diminishing the man and not the deeds. I love things like this, it's an effigy of a ridiculous little man. good for your friend.
