I make candles and had a customer request a candle with a photo. Being new to the craft, can someone help me out. Can it be done?  Wink

You can use clear decal printer paper. I have never used this stuff but have been investigating it for other projects I want to do. I wonder if they sell this stuff offline. I found it at a few online places. I just did a goodle search for printer decal paper.

here is one place with a link straight to their candle page:

Good luck! I would love to see some pictures if you try this out!!

i've heard of someone doing it with an acetate transfer of xeroxes or something, but i thinkt hat's flammable, so maybe not the best idea...if it's not though, it should work.
you could also always just get blank prayer candles and stick the photos on the outside of the glass.

I haven't used it yet, but there is a product called Lazertran that is a decal paper that you can print your own pictures on.  You could scan the customer's picture and then  print it on the decal paper.  I don't have the web site handy but do a search for Lazertran and see what you come up with.  I know for sure that it is also sold through Polymerclayexpress. com by itself and also with an instructional video.  It's very cool to use on polymer projects as well.

Good luck,
Barbi

I asked this question before, but the message was deleted. Can someone tell me how to place pictures on candles please?  Huh

Thank you for replying. The stamping of the candles sounds and looks interesting. May give it a try  Wink

I don't think that placing a photo on a candle isn't any different than applying the tissue paper while stamping.

'Ahhh... Sukiebaby, your original post is here:

And looks like there are some pretty good suggestions for working with pictures on candles.'

I was wondering what happened to that message. I tried to link back to it, but nothing! Have checked out the Lazartran decal paper. I have inkjet printers and happy to see they have paper for the inkjet. Think I will order the sample package to get a feel for it. Thanks again  Grin
