i love this with my whole heart.  unfortunately, with my long long hair, small close hats like this always make me look like ally mcgraw in "love story". oh but how i would love a bob for a day to wear such a delectable delight!

i knit so much, my arms fell off.

Your version is so pretty!
My first aviator was way too big and made in this horrible acrylic. Seeing how great your aviator hat turned out made me want to try this pattern again. This time I'm using wool and I checked the gauge (duh Roll Eyes). I'm already on row 14.

So, thanks!! <3 <3

OH. MY. LORD.  it's perfect, and I think you look a *little* bit like me (and very fantastic in it, meaning, I MUST MAKE IT!)

Great to get all this positive feedback! Thank you so much! Cheesy

Here are the details of the cap, including link to the pattern:

Pattern: Amelia Earhart Aviator cap at Headhuggers: http://www.headhuggers.org/patterns/kpatt07.htm
Yarn: Thin Pirkka Yarn (a Finnish yarn), doubled
Other materials: 1,5m satin bias tape, beads, safety pin
Needles: 5mm

I think the first bow I made is a bit, well too fancy for everyday use. I'm thinking of making another one with less ribbon and maybe some vintage looking  button. I'll post a picture of that one too once I get it done. All good suggestions are welcome!

(Oh, and I changed my avatar photo when someone noted that she looks a bit like me. I hadn't thought about the avatar picture  in a while and the thing is that I don't even look at all like the old picture... I don't have blue in my hair anymore and all that.. Everyone has such cool avatar pics, I have to think of one more unexcpected myself.. well this is a reasonably new picture of me )
