I usually pair it up with chenille, and use it for scarves, trim, or a pillbox/ushanka.

(now that they've started selling it that way, my yarn budget is much happier)

I have used fun fur for projects for my niece.  She is 8 and fluffy, pink and furry is always five by five with her.
